The show business industry has had its fair share of welcoming budding child stars and making them feel that they are loved and cared for by many. Most of these aspiring child stars are exposed to the entertainment industry at a very young, fulfilling their dreams of becoming a TV personality.
These young actors and actresses also sacrifice a lot in order to tend to their work in the entertainment industry. Their busy schedules also require them to sacrifice a lot of things, like their education or their time spent with their family. One of the most famous child stars of her generation was Serena Dalrymple. Born to a Scottish-American father and a Filipina mother, Serena was one of three sisters. She started off her show business career in 1997 when she appeared in a TV commercial for a famous Filipino fast food chain.
After her breakthrough with her first TV commercial stint, Serena bagged minor roles in several movies. One of her first movies was “Haba-baba-doo, puti-puti-poo!” where she starred alongside Camille Prats. After doing various movies and television shows, Serena did her last TV show, Spirits, and has decided to retire. She came back to show business to reprise her role in the Ang Tanging Ina series, alongside Ai-Ai de las Alas.
With years of spending her retirement from show business in focusing on her studies, Serena graduated from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde in 2010, with a degree in Business Administration. She then moved to the US to be with her sisters. Serena also had her Master’s Degree in London.
Now the 27-year-old former actress is living her best life overseas. In a recent Instagram post, Serena posted a picture of her with her mysterious non-showbiz boyfriend. The caption said that her boyfriend was serenading her and that their cute moment was captured by her boyfriend’s mother in Ontario, Canada. Her celebrity friends like Marvin Agustin and Heart Evangelista also reacted to her post with heart emojis.
